Pallet Paradise

The corner of Eade Road and Seven Sisters has been host to a double-decker bus in the name of Omnibus – for one weekend only the same spot is becoming a labyrinth of hidden spaces using 629 pallet boxes. Indulge your curiosity, immerse yourself and explore a world unlike the traditional concept of an arts venue and passive audience…Pallet Paradise.

The idea was dreamt up by co-creators Jenna Jardine, warehouse artist, and Joe Wright, architect in New River Studios and has been achieved through collaboration with a eight other artists, performer and architects.

“When you first walk through the Pallet Paradise archway, you’ll be surprised by the experience. You’ll not know what to explore first.”
said Jenna Jardine, one half of the creator duo. “Pallet Paradise not only challenges the viewer in how they react with the piece but also how the artist created work for the space” said Jenna.

“We wanted to create an immersive space that would blur the lines between arts and environment to encourage the viewer to interact and immerse themselves within our Pallet Paradise.” explains Joe Wright, the other half of the creator duo,

Sponsored Haringey Arts Village Fund in association with local landlord Provewell Ltd  . Other sponsors include Joe Wright Architects, West Creative, Ochre Print Studio and Wood Green Timber. The Pallet Paradise crew are very touched with the generosity of sponsors, enabling such off the wall projects to piloted.

Pallet Paradise opens with a press night on Friday 16 October, followed by two days of workshops, installations and live performance on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2015. Daylight hours are children friendly, with the evenings strictly 18+ as the installation lights up with more live music artists, and a bar available.  Full listings of workshops and performers to be announced soon. Free entry, with donation boxes available to help contribute to the event costs.
